Winthrop—Harland O. Bancroft, 551, West Stockholm, died suddenly, of a heart attack as he started to get out of his car, near his home late Sunday evening, Sept. 12. He had been ill with heart trouble, for about threeyears. A son of Jonas and Etta Farr Bancroft he was born November 6, 1891 in Piercefield. A farmer he had lived in Crary Mills for 19 years, and moved t o West Stockholm just recently, where Mrs. Bancroft is teaching school. Surviving besides his wife, formerly Miss Constance Tucker of Parishville, are a Son, Harland O. Bancroft J r ., who is in the armed forces in the state of Washington; a daughter, Miss Barbara Bancroft at the West Stockholm home, and a brother, C. O. Bancroft, Potsdam.
Funeral services were held from the Thomas Tucker home in Parishville at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
Interment was made in Hillcrest cemetery in Parishville.
