Marjorie Marie "Peggy" Saylor, 79, of Lubbock and formerly of Amarillo, died Thursday, March 22, 2001.

Graveside services were at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Fairmont Cemetery at Follett with the Rev. Clay Wells, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Follett, officiating. Arrangements were by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St.

Mrs. Saylor was born in Follett. She moved to Amarillo in 1956. She was a homemaker and very active in arts and crafts. She moved to Lubbock in January 2000. Mrs. Saylor was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She married Herman Steinert in 1939 at Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1954. In 1957, she married Roy Saylor at Canyon, he preceded her in death in January of 2000.

Survivors include her daughter, Onlee Boswell and her son-in-law, Bill Maness, both of Lubbock; two sisters, Permilia Kearns of Woodward, Okla., and Gwen Warren of Amarillo; a brother, Roy Bruce of La Plata, N.M.; four grandchildren, Brady and Corey Boswell of San Ramon, Calif., and Doug and Janilyn Kahley of Vallejo, Calif.; five great-grandchildren, Caresse, Chaz, Brady Lynn, and Britt Boswell all of San Ramon and Lacey Kahley of Vallejo.

The family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association.
