Born in Hot Springs, Garland, Arkansas to Otto Charles Gossett Sr. and Margaret Matilda Poindexter Gossett. At the outbreak of WWII, he enlisted in the Army Air Corp and served in the European Theater. On Dec. 17, 1942, he married the love of his life, Naoma Marvin O'Neal, also of Hot Springs. After the war, Otto attended Optical school in Chicago, Ill. With their two children, they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they lived the rest of their lives. Otto died Jan 3, 2011 in Albuquerque,at age 90, and was followed by his wife of 68 years, who died 6 weeks after him. They raised a son and a daughter, had an extraordinarily wonderful marriage, lived happy, successful lives and are buried together in the same grave, in their hometown, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
