Era Walston Chambers, 94, of Nashville, died Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Howard Memorial Hospital. She was born June 2, 1917, at Doyle, AR, the daughter of the late Rufus and Annie Dickerson Brandon.

She was a member of Bingen United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her husband, Milford Walston and Willie Chambers; one daughter, Sue Whitley and one son, David Walston.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Winchester (Gary) of Mineral Springs, AR ; three sons, Jodean Walston (Joy) of GreenCove Springs, FL, Jim Walston of Kennisaw, GA and Ronald Walston (Carmel) of Nashville, AR; a number of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 28, at Merrell Cemetery, with Rev. Paul Coy officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.

The family will receive friends at the home of Ronald and Carmel Walston.
