Enlisted in Independant Company of the Fourth Michigan Volunteer Infantry on February 9, 1864, for 3 years. On detached service with Company F of the First Michigan Volunteer Infantry, by order, July 2, 1864. Died on July 2, 1864, of wounds received in action on May 22, 1864.
