CSA pension application, in the GA archives virtual vault. Enlisted in May 1862 at Pinehill Church in Dooly County, GA and served with Company C of the 55th GA regiment. He was captured at Cumberland Gap, Tn and spent the remainder of the war in Camp Douglas, (Ill.) prison camp. He was paroled in June 1865.
