Husband, father, brother, grandpa, and great-grandpa, Jesse Hadfield Paskett, 83, returned to his Heavenly Father on December 21, 2001 after many long years with heart problems.

Jesse was joyously welcomed into this world on April 11, 1918 in Grouse Creek, UT by his parents Frank Paskett and Jessie Hadfield. He was the third son of a large family consisting of five brothers and five sisters.

Jesse was married to his eternal sweetheart, Esther Gwenne John, in the Logan LDS Temple on October 19, 1937. They were married sixty-four years.

Dad was a valiant member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and worked tirelessly and diligently in every position he was asked to fill.

Dad had a strong testimony of the Gospel and was granted a glance into the eternities when he passed through the veil as he underwent an unsuccessful heart operation.

Dad was allowed by his Heavenly Father to return to his family where his mission must have not been completed here on earth.

Dad was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. He was a joy to his wife and family and was always bringing smiles and laughs to those he was around with his quick wit, jokes, and great sense of humor.

Dad loved to work with his hands and used his creativity to organize, construct, and repair anything that just "wasn't quite right."

Dad retired early due to bad health, but was given additional wonderful years with his wife and family when our Heavenly Father granted him good enough health to undergo a successful triple-by-pass heart surgery.

Dad devoted every waking moment of the last seven years to caring for, nursing back to health, and loving his sweet "Esther" through her time of poor health.

Dad was employed by the State of Utah, Department of Highways; operated service stations on 1700 South and West Temple Street and 700 East and 2100 South; and in his earlier years worked at Utah Poultry.

Dad is survived by his dear wife, Esther; beloved children, Doris Reynolds, Rose Marie Stewart (Howard), Myrle Farnsworth (LeRoy), Ronald Paskett (Marsha), Lois Redden (Eddie), and LaRae Rome (Guy); one brother, Merton; and three sisters, Eldora, Mary, and Frankie. Dad's posterity includes twenty-four grandchildren, fifty-six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild who will miss him every minute of every day and will look forward to a great family reunion! We'll love you forever, sweetheart, dad, grandpa, and brother!

Dad was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Edwin, Darrell, and Cavell; two sisters, Ivy and Philetta; grandchildren, Rebecca Reynolds and Chad Mayo; and great-grandchild, Nathan Norman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2001 at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), where friends and family may call Wednesday, December 26, 2001 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
