ACTIVE IN POLITICS,
C. T. FISHER DIES

Charles Thompson Fisher, 84, long active in Milwaukee county politics, died Monday at his home at North av. and Lovers Lane road, town of Wauwatosa, after a short illness. He lived his entire life on the site where his father, William I Fisher, settled nearly 100 years ago.

For many years Mr. Fisher was a member of the Milwaukee county supervisors. He was a state senator in 1894.

In the eighties, Mr Fisher was town treasurer at the town of Wauwatosa and was chairman of the town board in 1893.

Mr. Fisher was one of the first directors of the First National Bank in Wauwatosa. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias there for many years.

The old homestead property of 160 acres was retained by Mr. Fisher until a few years ago. As the city moved westward Mr. Fisher subdivided the original tract but he retained the family home and immediate grounds.

Surviving him are a son, William E. Fisher; a daughter, Dr. Nellie M. Fisher; a sister, Mrs. Julia M. Stickney, and a grandson, Frederick T. Fisher.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the residence. Burial will be in Wauwatosa cemetery. (Milwaukee Journal, Tuesday, 17 June 1930, page 2)
