Funeral Saturday
Funeral services of John M. Dunlop, 79, a florist whose greenhouses and nurseries have been landmarks of Wauwatosa for 45 years will be conducted under the auspices of the Masons at 2 p.m. Saturday in their hall, 282 Wauwatosa av. Mr. Dunlop died Thursday at his home, 100 West Milwaukee av., after a year's illness. Burial will be in Wauwatosa cemetery.
Mr. Dunlop came from Scotland in 1885 He was active in many civic projects for the development of Wauwatosa. He was a member of the St. Andrew's society and the Wauwatosa curling club and was a thirty-second degree Mason.
Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Isabell Dunlop; four daughters, Mrs. Jean Spinti, Margaret, Marion and Frances Dunlop, and five sons, Donald, James, Ben, Douglas and Malcolm Dunlop. All are residents of Milwaukee county except Malcolm, who lives in Meadville, Pa. (Milwaukee Journal, Friday, 31 January 1930, page 9)
