Death of John Heesch
John Heesch passed away this morning at 2 o'clock after a long, lingering sickness of consumption. For the last month his condition became gradually more critical and for some weeks no hopes were entertained for his recovery.
John Heesch, son of James Heesch, was born on July 20, 1874 and during his life spent almost all his years in this city. For over a year he has been engaged as steward at the Liederkranz hall. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Gertrude, aged seven, and Helen, aged four years, his father and several sisters, to mourn his loss. The deceased was a member of the Liederkranz Society, Platt-duetsche Vereen and Eagles. The funeral will take place from the Liederkranz hall Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Liederkranz Chorus will provide music for the funeral and all members are requested to attend.
