John Henry, Former Dairy Owner, Dies
Funeral services for John Henry, 79, a resident of Pasadena and vicinity for 37 years, will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Pasadena Chapel of Ives & Warren Mortuary. The Rev. Maynard Force will officiate. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Altadena.
Mr. Henry died Wednesday at his Riverside home after a month's illness. A native of Sweden, he had resided in Pasadena and Lois Angeles before moving to Riverside.
A retired dairy owner and prominent Southern California Lutheran, Mr. Henry was the founder of the Mayflower Dairy in Seattle, Wash. In 1920, he moved to the Southland and founded the Henry Creamery Corp., and sold out to Carnation Co. in 1931.
SERVED HOSPITAL
He had been on the board of directors of the California Lutheran Hospital for 29 years, serving as its president for 9 years.
Mr. Henry is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vera M. Henry of Riverside;
three sons, Harvig B. Of Flintridge, Alvin O. Of Long Beach and Lennert W. Of Boston, Mass.;
two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Nesson of San Marino and Mrs. Irene Webster of Boston;
15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Henry was the brother of the late Rev. G. W. Henry of Pasadena.

Funeral services for John Henry, 79, retired dairy owner and prominent Southland Lutheran, will be conducted at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Memory Chapel of Ives & Warren Mortuary, Pasadena, with the Rev. Maynard Force officiating.
Mr. Henry died Wednesday at his home, 5755 N. View Place, Riverside, after a month's illness.
He founded the Mayflower Dairy in Seattle, Wash., in 1901. In 1920 he moved to Los Angeles and founded the Henry Creamery Corp. here. He sold out to the Carnation Co. in 1931 and retired from the business.
Mr. Henry was a member of the board of directors of the California Lutheran Hospital here for 29 years, serving as its president for nine years. He was an active member of the Eden Lutheran Church of Riverside.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Vera M. Henry of Riverside;
Three sons, Harvey B. Of Flintridge, Alvin O. Of Long Beach and Lennert W. Of Boston, Mass.;
Two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Nesson of San Marino and Mrs. Irene Webster of Boston;
15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

HENRY - John Henry of 5755 North View Place, Riverside, passed away Sep. 4, 1957. A native of Sweden, formerly of Pasadena and Los Angeles, he had been a resident of this area for 37 years. He was a member of the Swedish Club of Los Angeles, the Eden Lutheran Church of Riverside, had been on the Board of California Lutheran Hospital for 29 years, serving as president for 9 years.
He is survived by his wife, Vera M. Henry,
three sons, Hartvig B. Henry of Flintridge, Alvin O. Henry of Long Beach and Lennert W. Henry of Boston, Mass.,
daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Nesson of San Marino and Mrs. Irene Webster of Boston, Mass.;
sisters, Mrs. Hannah Swanson of Glendora, Mrs. Augusta Wilson of Vista and Mrs. Alida Johanson of Sweden;
brothers, David and Karl Henry of Seattle, Wash.;
15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Henry was a brother of the late Rev. G. W. Henry of Pasadena.
Services 10 a.m. Saturday in Memory Chapel, Ives & Warren Co., 100 N. Hill Ave., the Rev. Maynard Force officiating.
Interment in Mountain View Cemetery.

John Henry, Former Dairy Owner, Dies
Funeral services for John Henry, 79, a resident of Pasadena and vicinity for 37 years, will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Pasadena Chapel of Ives & Warren Mortuary. The Rev. Maynard Force will officiate. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Altadena.
Mr. Henry died Wednesday at his Riverside home after a month's illness. A native of Sweden, he had resided in Pasadena and Lois Angeles before moving to Riverside.
A retired dairy owner and prominent Southern California Lutheran, Mr. Henry was the founder of the Mayflower Dairy in Seattle, Wash. In 1920, he moved to the Southland and founded the Henry Creamery Corp., and sold out to Carnation Co. in 1931.

He had been on the board of directors of the California Lutheran Hospital for 29 years, serving as its president for 9 years.
Mr. Henry is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vera M. Henry of Riverside;
three sons, Harvig B. Of Flintridge, Alvin O. Of Long Beach and Lennert W. Of Boston, Mass.;
two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Nesson of San Marino and Mrs. Irene Webster of Boston;
15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Henry was the brother of the late Rev. G. W. Henry of Pasadena.

Funeral services for John Henry, 79, retired dairy owner and prominent Southland Lutheran, will be conducted at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Memory Chapel of Ives & Warren Mortuary, Pasadena, with the Rev. Maynard Force officiating.
Mr. Henry died Wednesday at his home, 5755 N. View Place, Riverside, after a month's illness.
He founded the Mayflower Dairy in Seattle, Wash., in 1901. In 1920 he moved to Los Angeles and founded the Henry Creamery Corp. here. He sold out to the Carnation Co. in 1931 and retired from the business.
Mr. Henry was a member of the board of directors of the California Lutheran Hospital here for 29 years, serving as its president for nine years. He was an active member of the Eden Lutheran Church of Riverside.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Vera M. Henry of Riverside;
Three sons, Harvey B. Of Flintridge, Alvin O. Of Long Beach and Lennert W. Of Boston, Mass.;
Two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Nesson of San Marino and Mrs. Irene Webster of Boston;
15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

HENRY - John Henry of 5755 North View Place, Riverside, passed away Sep. 4, 1957. A native of Sweden, formerly of Pasadena and Los Angeles, he had been a resident of this area for 37 years. He was a member of the Swedish Club of Los Angeles, the Eden Lutheran Church of Riverside, had been on the Board of California Lutheran Hospital for 29 years, serving as president for 9 years.
He is survived by his wife, Vera M. Henry,
three sons, Hartvig B. Henry of Flintridge, Alvin O. Henry of Long Beach and Lennert W. Henry of Boston, Mass.,
daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Nesson of San Marino and Mrs. Irene Webster of Boston, Mass.;
sisters, Mrs. Hannah Swanson of Glendora, Mrs. Augusta Wilson of Vista and Mrs. Alida Johanson of Sweden;
brothers, David and Karl Henry of Seattle, Wash.;
15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Henry was a brother of the late Rev. G. W. Henry of Pasadena.
Services 10 a.m. Saturday in Memory Chapel, Ives & Warren Co., 100 N. Hill Ave., the Rev. Maynard Force officiating.
Interment in Mountain View Cemetery.
