JEROME - Allan Blamires, 77, Jerome, died Monday, October 16, 1989 at his home following an extended illness.
He was born February 26, 1912 in Kaysville, Utah, the son of Lawrence Bone and Crilla Elizabeth Morgan Blamires. His family moved from Utah to Burley to Filer, and then to Jerome in 1928. He was a graduate of Jerome High School.
He married Ruth McClanahan on July 16, 1933 in Jerome. They operated Blamires' Service, a combination grocery store and service station. He had also farmed and done custom farm work in the Jerome area since 1950.
Surviving are his wife of Jerome; two sons, Richard Blamires, Jerome, and Larry Blamires of Nevada; a daughter, Kathy Blamires, Jerome; three brothers, Bob Blamires, Jerome, Curt Blamires, Gooding, and Phillip Blamires, Ogden, Utah; two sisters, Vera Crane, American Falls, and Margaret Dudley, Oakley, Utah; and 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, one brother, and one sister.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 19 at Jerome Cemetery.
