Rev. Kirby C. Tiller, longtime pastor and missionary leader died Sunday, Jan 7 at Bloomington Hospital. An Apostolic Pioneer, he started the Foreign Missionary and Deeper life Conference, was a Presbyter for fourteen years of Indiana District, pastored from 1945-1983. He founded the Cherry Hill Daycare Center in 1970, was a graduate of the first class of the Apostolic Bible Institute and was known as the "Singing Evangelist". He was the son of Newton Tiller.

His favorite subject was the Lord; he loved to preach and teach the humanity and the divinity of Christ. Everything about Jesus-His Ministry, His Life, His Godhead-thrilled Brother Tiller's heart. His radio broadcast was titled, "Let's Talk about Jesus"

Survivors include one daughter, Renee (Rev. Kim) Norris; two sons, Calvin (Nancy)Tiller and Foster(Tonya)Tiller; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held on Friday Jan 12, 2007 at Cherry Hill Christian Center, 417 E. 16th St. in Bloomington. Celebration of Life and dinner was held 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the Family Life and Worship Center(UPC), State road 37 North and FoxHollow Road in Bloomington.
Allen Funeral Home in Bloomington was in charge of arrangements.
Graveside Service was January 13, 2007, 11:00 a.m. Valhalla Memory Garden, 310 N. Johnson Avenue, Bloomington, IN with Pastor David Penrod and Pastor Cliff Readout presiding.
