Mother
Margaret married John Denbo in Atchison, KS. They had 6 children: Edna Mae, George Vernon, Edith Velma, Chester Oran, Charles Clarence, and Hazel Faye.
Margaret died at her country home south of Great Bend less than 24 hours after having a stroke. She received her education in public schools at Bakersville, OH and moved to Effingham, KS with her parents in 1884.
Margaret was a great and delightful storyteller. She never thought of pioneer life as a hardship, but as an adventure shared with her husband. Right was right; no compromise; quick to come in time of need. "Mother Denbo", as she was called, was a mother to all who came to her home.
