Julia Renee McGowan, 48, of Fayetteville, Georgia, died December 1, 2009. After a hard fought battle with cancer, we are now celebrating her healing with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was originally from Jacksonville, Florida, where she graduated from Victory Christian Academy High School in 1979. Julie then attended Florida Junior College.

Mrs. McGowan was preceded in death by her father, Bernie Williams. She is survived by her husband, Ray McGowan; daughters, Lacey Renée McGowan and Holley Rae McGowan, both of Fayetteville; mother, Cindy Williams Derringer, Branford, Florida; and sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Phil Brown, Concord, GA.

Funeral service held December 4 at New Hope Baptist Church, South Campus, with Rev. Hugh Kirby officiating. Interment at Westminster Memorial Gardens. Carl J. Mowell & Son, Fayetteville in charge of arrangements.
