William C. Bennett age 86, residing in the township of Moundville, died at the Divine Savior Hospital Thursday evening following a brief illness. Friends may call at the Pflanz Funeral home from 3:00 p.m. Saturday until noon Sunday at which time he will be moved to the Moundville Methodist Church to lie in state until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be held from the Moundville Methodist Church Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Amos Shimko will officiate and the interment will be made in the church cemetery. Survivors are three sons Claire, township of Moundville; Edward, Port Washington and Willard, Poway Calif.; one daughter (Veryl) Mrs. Willard Jones, township of Moundville; one brother Hume Bennett, Charles City, Iowa; two sisters Mrs. Mary McCoy, Granite Falls, Minn and (Ruth) Mrs. Curtis Jacobs, Eureka, Calif.; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a number of other near relatives.
