Bea Wilson, 47, Columbus, died this morning at Bartholomew County Hospital after being in failing health for six months. She was born Febuary 3, 1927 in Peru to Clinton and Carrie Ecklbarger Crane. She married Dick Wilson who survives, July 4,1952. She lived around Peru in her early life. She was Wabash resident for several years. She lived at Columbus since 1969. Mrs. Wilson was active in the Parent teacher Association, Girl Scouts, Little League baseball and PAL football league. She was a member of the first United Methodist Church in Columbus. Surviving with the husband are two sons both living at home 2722 Poplar Drive, Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Westervelt, Anderson: Brother Robert Crane, North Manchester; three sisters, Mrs. Lois Rhoades, Fort Myers, Florida, Mrs. Isabelle Shook Marion, and Mrs. Bonny Detamore,Swayzee; and one granddaughter. One sister, Edna Alfrey, preceeded her in death. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Reed Funeral Home in Columbus with Dr. Joe Emerson officiating. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
