Assigned for pre-flight training to Maxwell Field, Alabama; for primary training to Tuscaloosa, Alabama; for basic training to Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; and for advanced training to George Field, Lawrenceville, Illinois. Commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Army Air Forces and received Pilot's wings, George Field, March 25, 1943. Retained as
flying instructor at George Field. Killed at Londonderry, New Hampshire. September 30, 1943.
