Scott Roy Snodgrass, 42, of Oak Park, formerly of Valparaiso, Ind., died on Jan. 2, 2006 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Gary, Ind. in 1963, he graduated from Valparaiso High School, Manchester College, and DePaul University, where he received an MBA. He was employed by People Soft as a software trainer. Active in sports, he was captain of his high school and college football teams and enjoyed beach volleyball and golf, in addition to being a die-hard Bear and Cub fan.
Scott is survived by his wife, Caryn; his daughters, Rachael (6) and Sarah (2); his parents, Gerry and Roy Snodgrass; his brothers Jeff and Tim (Jennifer); his nephews, Sean and Ethan; his aunts and uncles, Sharon and George Stroguiludis and Bill and Barbra Marley; along with many cousins and friends.
Visitation has held Jan. 6 at Peterson Funeral Home in Chicago. The funeral service took place on Jan. 7 at Grace Lutheran Church in River Forest with interment at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso. Donations to Grace Lutheran Church or the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
