She was born Nov. 16, 1944, in LaPorte to Paul and Thelma (Flesher) Phillips.
Paula worked for 30 years in quality control for Whirlpool Mfg., retiring in 2000. Paula loved going for long drives in the country and traveling. She also loved going antiquing and cooking, especially baking pies. Paula loved spending time with her family and decorating for the holidays.
On Oct. 10, 1964, in LaPorte, she married Larry Lee Hartman, who preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1985.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her special companion, Stuart Siebenhaar of LaPorte; son, Michael (Kelly) Hartman of South Bend, IN; daughter, Tammi Hartman of Fishers, IN; brother, John Phillips of LaPorte; sister, Carolyn Coulter of LaPorte; and niece, Tracey (Joseph) Martin of Carmel, IN.
The family will receive friends at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. A private service will be held at a later time with Pastor Jo Ellyn Chadwick officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte.
