ISHPEMING - Dorothy Fay Rundman, 88, of 754 Poplar St., Ishpeming, passed away at her daughter's home on Friday, October 21, 2011, while under the loving care of her family and U.P. Home Health & Hospice.

Dorothy was born July 22nd, 1923, in Ishpeming, to the late Frank and Fanny (Kauppila) Lammi. She was a graduate of Ishpeming High School, Class of 1941, and was a founding member of the Ishpeming High School Alumni Association, working on the Beacon Light newsletter for many years. She worked at Globe Printing in Ishpeming for 25 years. Dorothy married Henry "Hank" Rundman on December 18th, 1948, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2009.

Dorothy will be remembered as a kind, loving, and generous person with a zest for life. She was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church, where she was involved with the bell choir for many years and a member of the Martha Circle. She was also an active volunteer at the Eastwood Nursing Center.

Dorothy loved the summers spent at her camp on the Dead River Basin, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. She is well known for her knitting and baking. Dorothy had many fond memories of following her grandchildren's various sporting events wherever they may have been.

Survivors include a daughter, Julie (Bill) Stream of Ishpeming; a son, Kurt (Laura) Rundman of Ishpeming; 7 grandchildren, Eric Stream, Christopher Stream, Katie (Matt) Barron, Sarah Stream, Kara Rundman, Kyle (Jenny) Rundman and Kaleb Rundman; one great-grandson, Lukas Barron; a special nephew, Jim (Dorothy) Meyer of Ishpeming; and close family friend Coleen (Bill) Waters. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hank; parents; 4 sisters, Edna Crumbaker, Alice Meyer, Ruth Bartanen and Joanne Chillman; one brother, Raymond; and numerous close friends including Gloria Carter.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25th, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming with the Rev. Lauri O. Maki to officiate. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
