Obituary from "Canandaigua Chronicle," May 9, 1906:

Rushville, N. Y. - "Andrew Jackson Warner died on Thursday morning, his 73rd birthday, between the hours of six and seven. Three years ago he was stricken with paralysis from which he partially recovered the use of his limbs so that by the aid of a cane he was able to walk about town. For the past few weeks he had been failing and on Wednesday afternoon he suffered another stroke which caused his death.

"He was born in Hartford, Conn. In 1859 he came to this village.

"He enlisted in 1861 and served until 1865. [Co. E. 28 NY Volunteers.]

"Upon his return home he married Miss Sarah A. Tufts B-1838, who died 11/19/1872.

"In 12/19/1875 he was married to Miss Josephine Peabody, who survives him.

"He is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. William G. Henry of Canandaigua; one brother and two sisters who live in Connecticut.

"The funeral services, conducted by Rev. A. W. Rice, were held on Saturday afternoon at the late residence.

"The majority of his soldier friends in the village attended and six of them were bearers. Interment was made in the Rushville cemetery. Among those from out-of-town who attended the funeral were Dr. and Mrs. E. B. Sayre of Allen's Hill."
