Eugene J. Balut, Sr., 57, beloved father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2006 at his home. He was born December 2, 1948 to Joseph and Irene (Gresczyk) Balut. Eugene grew up and lived in the Willow River area all his life. He will be fondly remembered for his love of gardening, fishing, hunting, country western movies, classic country music and collection of odds and ends items, all of which he enjoyed immensely.
Eugene is preceded in death by his father, Joseph and brother, Dean.
Eugene is survived by his mother, Irene Balut; 3 sons, Eugene (Theresa) Balut Jr., Tom (Lisa) Balut and Scott (Chas) Balut; 2 grandchildren, Erika and Kayleigh; 2 sisters, Janell Ketchmark, Bernadette (Nels) Balut; 4 brothers, Richard (Cindy) Balut, David (Kristi) Balut, Bernard (Jackie) Balut and Joseph (Becky) Balut; several nieces and nephews and dear friend, Mary Johnson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 12 from 10 until the 11 AM Service in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake with Father Timothy Deutsch as the celebrant. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Willow River. Arrangements are with Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
