Karen Ann Norris, age 48, of Joplin, Mo., passed away at 3 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at Freeman West Hospital.
Karen was born June 16, 1963, in Turlock, Calif. to Carolyn Petty Cunningham and the late Uris Eugene Cunningham and had lived in Joplin most of her life.
She worked as a medical care provider and was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking pictures, camping, hanging out at the water and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her former husband, David Scott Norris Sr., Joplin; three children, Lacey Spencer, Joplin, David Scott Norris Jr., Joplin and Shane Carlton Eugene Norris, Joplin; two sisters, Sharon Loftis, Arkansas and Sonya Hopkins, Baxter Springs, Kan.; two brothers, Guy Cunningham, Reeds, Mo. and Doug Cunningham, Mount Vernon. Mo.; her mother, Carolyn Holden, Jane, Mo; and ten grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Fasken Cemetery. Rev. Joe Morris will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeff Higley, Ryan Johnson, David Johnson, David Perley, Zachary Pritchett and Daniel Quinn.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
