Mary appears in church baptism records under Louise Cecilia Froehlich and went by the nickname Lulu. Although the family went by the surname Fraley, I’m not sure that they ever officially changed their name from Froehlich to Fraley. All of her siblings were baptized under some variety of Froehlich and her father is listed under the name Fröhlich in his marriage record. However, census records are consistent with the name as Fraley. I’ve typed out below what I found for Mary. I ask that you credit me as the contributor as researching and typing this out is somewhat time-consuming. If you don’t choose to use it, no worries. I’ll be interested to see what surname is on her parents’ grave markers IF they have them. I live close to the cemetery in which they’re buried so I’ll be visiting the plot soon.

Surname was originally Froehlich but changed to Fraley at some point. It’s unclear as to whether or not this was done officially.
