MULLINS - Bertie L. Baxley died Friday morning at the home of Mrs. Grafton Jones, a niece, in Latta.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Gapway Baptist Church with the Rev. T. J. Anderson and the Rev. J. O. Reed officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Miss Baxley was born in the Penderboro section of Marion County and was a life long resident of the county. She was a daughter of the late John W. and Sarah Elizabeth Baxley. She was 80 years old.

Miss Baxley was a member of the Gapway Baptist Church and the Missionary Society of Gapway.

Surviving are five nieces, Mrs. Grafton Jones of Latta, Mrs. Carl Ellis and Mrs. Berry Brown of Mullins, Mrs. Hazel Kuhn of Trenton, N.J. and Mrs. Marvin Coleman of Centenary; and six nephews, Harvey W. Collins, Troy L. Collins and Conway Collins, all of Mullins, Oscar Collins of Winston Salem, N.C., Rupert James of Columbia and Dixon James of Lumberton, N.C.
