Wheeler of Fairfield, a step sister, Mrs. Blanche Rowark of Ellery and her grandmother, Mrs. Lucy Dorsey. Buried Maple Hill Cemetery.
Notes: Her parents, Charles Dorsey and Ida Gibbs were married 6/12/1898 in Saline County, Ill. In 1920 Essie was still living in Saline Co. with her father, who was listed as widowed. However, an Ida Bell (Gibbs) Brown appears in the 1920 Leroy, McLean Co., IL census. Her death record in 1937 lists her parents as Albert and Luvica (Cardwell) Gibbs. This woman is only listed as married twice in her memorial and some trees link her to Charles Dorsey.
