Guy Elixie Barber, aged 40 years, well known resident of the Carmichaels community, died Sunday morning at 9 o'clock at his home in Greene county. He had been in failing health for the past several years.
A son of the late John and Pleza Hunter Barber he was born in Cumberland township and spent his entire life there.
He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Frank and Ross Barber of Carmichaels, Sidney Barber of Greensboro; Mrs. Lizzie Barber Beckus of Mather; Mrs. Ethel B. Kager of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Etta B. Pratt of Greensboro.
Funeral services will be held from the Condit Funeral Home in Carmichaels, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. The Rev. John O. Miller, pastor of the First Presbyterian church will officiate. Burial will be in the Glades cemetery.
