Gladys "Lindy" Buckeridge, 87, of Tallahassee, Fla., passed away February 13, 2009. Born in Duluth, Minnesota, she was the first generation of parents from Jamtland, Sweden. She was a long time resident of Wichita, Kan., and retired from the Fourth National Bank in Wichita, to Grove, Oklahoma on Grand Lake of the Cherokees. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Grove, OK. She served in the United States Navy during World War II. In 2006 she and Buck made HarborChase their home in Tallahassee. She loved every activity HarborChase had to offer. Bridge was her favorite. Lindy was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Harry "Buck" Buckeridge; parents, Charles and Bertha Linder; and five siblings. She is survived by daughters, Nancy (husband Dave) Faulkner of Tallahassee and Judie Douglas of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; sister, Ruth McKown of Arvada, Colo., three grandchildren, Kimberly Swindle, Cory Douglas, and Grant Faulkner; and three great-grandchildren, Chase Swindle, Audrey and Addison Green. Memorial service will be held 10 a.m. EST Monday, February 23, 2009 at HarborChase Assisted Living, 100 John Knox Road, Tallahassee. Culley's MeadowWood funeral Home (850-877-8191). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven of Rest Mission, 510 W. Tennessee Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301.
