WINSTON-SALEM ~ Viola Mae Hege Harrison was born to Ollie Mae Holloway and Robert Permanie Hege, August 24, 1920 in Winston-Salem, NC, and died October 20, 2011 at the age of 91. Viola was married to Bennie Foster Harrison, Jr. for 45 years, until his death in 1982. She was a member of Advent Moravian Church, and a resident of Heritage Woods. Preceding her in death was her husband; her parents; brother, Balford P. Hege; and sister, Patsy Hege Lawson. Surviving are one daughter, Barbara H. Preston (Buddy) of Walkertown; one son, John R. Harrison of Rural Hall; grandchildren, Misty P. Holleman (Jeff) of Walkertown, Robert N. Harrison (Robin) of King, David N. Harrison of Carrboro, and Joel F. Harrison (Ashley) of Pilot Mountain; eleven great grandchildren; and one brother, Bill Hege of Wallburg. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Advent Moravian Church with the Rev. Keith White and the Rev. Roger Kimball officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
