CHARLESTON - Ruth Bankson, 82, of Charleston was found dead in her auto at her home at 4 30 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 3. 1980). Death was apparently due to a heart attack. Coles County Coroner Dick Lynch said Miss Bankson left her house to get in her car at about 10 a.m. and apparently suffered a heart attack at that time. Burial will be in the Marrowbone Township Cemetery at Bethany. Other arrangements are incomplete at Caudill-King Funeral Home, Charleston. Miss Bankson was born May 20, 1898. the daughter of Andrew and Daisy Bankson. She was a member of the National Federation of Republican Women and a retired Brown Shoe Co. employee. She is survived by nieces and nephews.
