Birdie was the youngest child of Isaac T. Meador (1860-1946) and Minerva Jane Settle (1870-Unk). Research indicates Birdie lost her mother by the time she was about 10 years old.

Birdie married Wilbert Wayne Marksberry in 1927 and they had one son, James. By 1930 the Marksberry family was living in Cleveland. and by 1940 the family had moved to Detroit.

Wayne passed away in 1952. While Birdie passed away in Covington, Kentucky her remains were returned to Cincinnati, Ohio. Both Birdie and Wayne are buried in Spring Grove Cemetery. James, their son is also buried in Spring Grove.
