Death early Tuesday morning reunited Mr. & Mrs. William, I. Purcell of this city. The husband aged 82, died September 16. The funeral was conducted Monday afternoon. Mrs Ruby Purcell, 81, his widow, was not allowed to attend the funeral due to her critical condition. Early the day following she died at the family home, 305 Ninth Street.

Mr. Purcell was for years a deacon and a elder in the local Christian church and for 16 years he served as treasurer. He was born in Texas and early in life went to Illinois. Later he was a pioneer of Washington.

The Purcells had lived in the same house on Ninth Street for 23 years, coming to this state from Indiana. They have been life-long members of the Christian church. Mrs. Purcell had been in a coma practically all of the time since her husband died.

She revived sufficiently Monday afternoon to ask about the funeral for her husband. The attending physician and members of the family informed her that the funeral would be held in a short time. Funeral services were held at the Dixon Chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. James G. Hurst in charge. Mrs. Purcell was buried at her husband's side in the Huntington Beach cemetery. She is survived by an adopted son Phil Huffman, 906 Olive Ave; Two brothers, Dan Huffman of Everett, WA and Lynn of Hooper, WA, one sister Mrs Anna Scott of Washington.
