Samantha Marie Shaffer, infant daughter of Scott and Jennifer Richert Shaffer of Heyworth, formerly of Lincoln, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. In addition to parents, surviving are grandparents, Les and Theresa Richert of Lincoln and Vera Shaffer of Chandler, Ariz.; great-grandfather, John Richert of Benson; three stepsisters, Tiffany, Jessica and Casey Shaffer, all of Mason City; and a stepbrother, Jeremy Shaffer of Mason City. Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.
