Chandlerville, IL – Diana J. Garner, 60, of Chandlerville passed away at 11:57 am Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 at her home. She was born June 9, 1951 in Beardstown to Gene and Elizabeth (Culp) Pherigo. She married Terry E. Garner June 25, 1972 in Chandlerville and he survives.
Mrs. Garner was a homemaker, a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons; Jeremy (Tammy) Garner of Chandlerville, Mathew (Kimberly) Garner of Springfield, IL; two daughters; Amanda (companion: Richard Snodgrass) Surratt of Bluffs, IL, Melissa (William) Davis of Chandlerville and seven grandchildren; Remington Surratt, Kaylan Davis, Sierra Garner, Hayden Surratt, Hunter Garner, Iris Garner, and Drake Snodgrass. Also surviving are three sisters; Nanette Shaner, Debbie Justice and Cindy Ackerman and four brothers; Rick Pherigo, Allen Pherigo, Ronnie Pherigo and Mike Pherigo all of Chandlerville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Pastor George Garnot officiating with burial to follow in the Bethel Cemetery near Chandlerville. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Saturday at the Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for expenses c/o Terry Garner.
