From a 1901 Nance County, Nebraska, newspaper clipping file, publication date unknown, transcribed by Linda Berney:
Atkinson, Neb, Jan 14 (Special) - The funeral of Mrs. A. O. Perry was held here at 2 o'clock yesterday. The deceased was the wife of A. O. Perry, promoter of the Dakota, Nebraska & Southern railroad, and although she had been a sufferer with heart trouble for years, her death was a shock to friends and relatives of this place. She was expected home Tuesday from Gandy, Neb., where she had been visiting her husband, who has business at that place, but instead, a telegram was received telling of her death that day.
