In Memory of Mildred [Murphy] Jackson. she is buried at the old Sion Murphy Home place, location described as Hwy 49 Union Co SC.

Milly was the daughter of Sion Jr (III) & Deliliah Susannah [White] Murphy, both of Union County SC, they are buried at the Murphy-Duncan Cemetery in Union Co SC.

She was named after her White grandmother, Mildred White.

Milly married Nov 26, 1824 to Gideon Jackson. His burial site is not known at this time.

Gideon & Milly had the following known children:
James Littlebury Jackson, Elizabeth Jane Cummings, and an Unknown infant Jackson.

Her Father, and grand father and mother, all served in the American Revolution. The grandfather, Simon (Sion) II, was executed, by Tories in the Revolution, who suspected he was a patriot (rebel). He was actually, on his way to Surry Co VA to his old homestead to handle business, one of the Tories recognized him and out of respect removed his body, to his old home place, and buried him at that place.
