Arden R. Coon, 78, of North Manchester, owner of Lee Home Furnishings, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000, at VA Northern Indiana Health Care System in Fort Wayne.

The Servia native was a member/current commander of American Legion Post 286, member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1518, Deming Lodge 88 F&AM and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Leola M.; daughters Sandra L. Oldfather of Elfrida, Ariz., and Judy Marcum of Carmel; his mother, Eulalia Bohnstedt of Islamorada, Fla.; a sister, Marjorie L. Sirok of Mishawaka; and one grandchild.

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with calling from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia. Memorials are to Northern Wabash County Veterans Memorial, c/o American Legion Post 286 in North Manchester.
