Ralph K. Durstein Jr., 43, a partner for 12 years in the Durstein Cigarette Vendors Co., Wilmington, died Saturday in Roswell Park Memorial Institute, Buffaly, N.Y., after an illness of 4 1/2 years.

A native of Wilmington, Mr. Durstein had lived at 2408 Heather Road, Heatherbrook.

Before joining the Durstein firm, he was a district supervisor for Atlantic Refining Co.

He was president of the class of 1943 at Pierre S. du Pont High School and played football both in high school and at Lafayette College from which he graduated.

A Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Durstein was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church, where he coached the junior basketball team.

He is survived by his widow, Jeanette S. Durstein; a son, Ralph K. III at home; his father, Ralph K. St. of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; a brother, Richard C. of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and a sister, Mrs. Charles I. Hoch of Smyrna.

Services will be tomorrow afternoon at 2 in the Concord Presbyterian Church, Foulk Roadn and Fairfax Blvd., Fairfax, with interment in Riverview Cemetery. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Roswell Park Memorial Institute, 666 Elm St., Buffalo.
