SUMMERFIELD - Edwin Leo Crum, 78, of 44414 Ohio 260, Caldwell (Carlisle Community) died at 5:07 a.m. Monday May 1, 1989 at Good Samaritan Medical Center.
Mr. Crum was the founder of Crum Insurance Agency in Caldwell. He was an agent with Grange Mutual Insurance Company for more than 50 years and had been semi-retired for several years. Mr. Crum was a member of St. Michaels Catholic church in Carlisle, the Knights of Columbus Caldwell
Chapter No. 2565, St. Michaels Holy Name Society, and Carlisle Grange 2344.
Born Nov. 25, 1910 in Carlisle, he was a son of Charles and Caroline Hill Crum. On July 28, 1936, he married the former Anita Kuhn. She survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Roger L. Crum of Louisville, Ky., Kenneth C. Crum of Cambridge, Lawrence A. Crum of Oxford, Miss., James A. Crum of Caldwell, and John E. Crum of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one sister, Edna Kastner of North Canton, 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today at Brubach-Watters Funeral Home in Summerfield. Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. today by the Knights of Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Carlisle with Monsignor Frank Baudo as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
