Mildred Lasher, 91, Meshoppen, Pa., died April 18, 2009, at home after an illness.
She was born in Mehoopany, daughter of the late Roy and Eulalie Miles Fassett.
She and her husband Rudolph 'Jake' Lasher have been married for 68 years.
She was a member of the Elk Lake Community Church and a graduate of Mehoopany High School.
Mildred loved to spend time with her family and especially enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners and Holidays meals for her family.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson: two sisters, Elva Ripsher, Gertrude Tabor; two brothers; Arthur and Clayton Fassett.
She is survived by five daughters: Dorothy and her husband James Teetsel, Meshoppen, Sandy and her husband Robert Garey, Mill City, Pa., Beulah and her husband Nelson Clayton, Meshoppen, Helen and her husband William Rought, Falls, Pa., and Patricia and her husband Charles Michalowski, Lake Winola, Pa.; a son, Raymond Lasher and his wife Patty, Montrose, Pa.; grandchildren: Debbie Cudworth, James Teetsel Jr., Lisa Edwards, Jonathan Clayton, William Rought Jr., Guy Michalowski, Jennifer Robinson, Julie Lasher, Chad Lasher, Aubrey Wood; 11 great-grand children; many nieces and nephews; fours sisters, Myrtle Cook, North Tonawanda, N.Y., Olive Rowlands, Binghamton, N.Y., Lillian Hinckley and Wanita Copp, Nyack, NY.; a brother; Roy Fassett, Binghamton, N.Y.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday April 29, 2009, at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 Tioga St., Tunkhannock. The Rev. Bernard Graham of Elk Lake Community Church will officiate.
Interment will be in Jersey Hill Cemetery, Auburn Township.
