LOUIS P BLOSSER DIES AT HOSPITAL SATURDAY

A man who has been active in area church, civic, and educational progress, Louis P Blosser, 94, died Saturday in Fitzgibbon Memorial Hospital.
A long time elder of the First Christian Church of Marshall, he was a member of the executive board of the Missouri Society for Crippled Children and Adults, member of the board of trustees of Christian (Columbia) College, member of the board of trustees of the Missouri School of Religion of the University of Missouri, member of Ararat Temple of the Shrine, Missouri Hereford Association, Marshall Chamber of Commerce and Masonic Lodge, and president of the Ridge Park Cemetery association. He was a charter member of the Marshall Rotary Club and Friends of Abilene Christian College.
He was a director of Wood and Huston Bank and president of the boards of the Georgia Brown Blosser Homes for Aged Women and Crippled Children.
Born in April, 1880, in Saline County, the son of Henry Blosser and Sarah Baker Blosser, his interest in agriculture followed that of his father who moved to this state from Ohio in 1865.
Mr Blosser was preceded in death by five brothers and on sister. Surviving is his wife, Lois Kelly Blosser. Services will be in the First Christan Church tomorrow morning at 10:30, with burial in Ridge Park Cemetery. Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home is in charge.
