CHURCHILL
Arthur E. Churchill was born in Lucas County, Iowa on Feb. 12, 1914, to Clinton and Ina Churchill. There he lived until moving to Clearview Manor at Prairie City, Iowa in Sept. of 1989.
He was united in marriage to Leona Amos on May 18, 1938. To this union one son was born, Gary Churchill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Clarence and Roy, and four sisters, Iva, Mary, Dorothy and Nada.
He is survived by his wife Leona, and son Gary, both of Chariton; one brother, Winston, of Sun City, Arizona; two sisters, Margaret McKinley, of Chariton, and Carmen Vucich, of Phoenix, Arizona. Also four grandchildren, Arthur Churchill and wife Cindy, of Des Moines, Linda Crawford and husband Steve of Monroe, David Churchill and Mary Churchill, both of Des Moines, and four great grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Mosher Funeral Home in Chariton, with burial in the Chariton Cemetery with Pastor Dennis St. Lawrence officiating. Bearers were Clint Bingham, Fred Jagger, Marvin Lee, Bob Watts, Dwight Hayes and Roger Larrington. Honorary bearers were Arthur Churchill, David Churchill and Steve Crawford.
