Thalia Curtis, 88, of El Dorado passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Timberlane Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born on January 28, 1926 in Wellington, TX; she was the daughter of Andrew Homer and Iva Blackmon Rhodes.
Thalia was a school teacher in the Parkers Chapel School system. She was a member of Marrable Hill Chapel.
Thalia was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, William Larry Sligh and brother, A.J. Rhodes.
Survivors are her husband, Joe Curtis; two daughters, Alicia Gillaspie and husband Norman, of Jacksonville, AR and Shelia Burns of El Dorado; grandchildren, Ryan Neal, Brandi Neal, Alison Kerr, and Andrea Sayre. She also had six great grandchildren, Kaylee Neal, Austin Lane, Jordan Vines, Danica Neal, Paige Neal,Camryn Ross and one great, great grandchild, Kayden Neal. Thalia has a sister, Lula McCain and husband Cecil of McCaskill, AR, sister-in-law, Pat Rhodes of Hope, AR and numerous nieces and nephews.
