Mrs. Jones, age 90 of Calvin, LA died Tuesday, February 26, 2002 in the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield.
Her lineage is from early American Colonials. She was born the second child of Joseph W. Weatherford and Martha Louise Willis Weatherford April 2, 1911 at Beech Creek.
She was a resident of Calvin, LA. She was a homemaker and a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of Beech Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Houston T. Jones, one son, Houston V. Jones, and grandson Hugh Leighton Jones.
Survivors are one son, Jimmy Jones of Dry Prong, LA; one daughter, Iris J. Martin of Calvin, LA; two brothers, Earl William Weatherford of Winnfield, LA and Ellis Weatherford of Joyce, LA; one sister, Annie Davison of Joyce, LA; four grandsons and two granddaughters.
Pallbearers were: Ken Martin, Edward Martin, James H. Jones, Mitchell Jones, Billy Kerley and Ellis Weatherford.
