Died Sunday, Aug. 9, 1992, at Methodist Hospital, New Orleans. He was 85, a resident of New Orleans and a native of Picayune, Miss. He was a retired CSA federal government employee and a veteran of World War II.

Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Interment in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

Survived by wife, Myrtle Bardwell Drury, New Orleans; two sons, Morris H. Drury Jr. and Percy Drury, both of Baton Rouge; a sister, Eulalia Blow, Covington; two brothers, Clayton Drury, Albany, and Dan Drury, Folsom; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, Bryant and Martha Thigpen Drury; four brothers, Horris, Robert, Leon and Rand Drury; four sisters, July and Veasy Drury, Roberta Janusa and Beulah Timberlake; and a half-brother, Steve Drury.

He was a member of American Legion Post No. 367 and Masonic Lodge.
