Albert "Allie" Buford was the first child of Albert and Clara Lindley Reed Buford. He married Martha Bolling "Mattie" Rivers on 4 APR 1877, in Giles County TN. Mattie and Allie moved to Wewahitchka FL, now in Gulf County, with their sons Rivers Henderson Buford and Albert Lindley Buford, before 1880. They had daughter Ethel Buford Campbell, and son William Mac Buford in Wewahitchka.

Allie Buford was a surveyor by trade; and he represented Calhoun County in Florida's 1891 House of Representatives.
