Mylon Selph Rites
Funeral services for Mylon P. Selph were held at 2:30 Friday afternoon at the Hermon Methoidst Church in charge of the Rev. Jerry Gibson from Greenbush. Song service was in charge of Mrs. Dorance Lundstrum and Mrs. Richard Larsen. Piano selections were played by Mrs. Harold Dunlap. Pallbearers were Warren Emery Stegall, Burdette Stegall, Ralph Palmer, Doyle Benson, Gale Foster and Delwyn Roe. Mylon P. Selph was born at Attica, Kan., May 28, 1911 and died at his home north of Hermon on Tuesday evening. The early part of his life was spent around Hermon and Abingdon where he received his education. Eight years of his life were spent at Illinois City where he was engaged in farming. Mr. Selph married Beulah Bramlette [Bramlett] on Oct. 31, 1931 in Abingdon. To this union were born three children [names deleted, due to privacy]. He is survived by his wife and three children and one brother, Milton Selph of Avon and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his mother and father in 1944. Interment was made in the Hermon Methodist Cemetery."
