OBITUARY: Nell A. Manis, 95, of Springfield, formerly of Athens, died Sunday at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
She was born in Athens, the daughter of John D. and Clarisa Rogers Clemens. She married Clarence Manis in 1934 and he preceded her in death on May 26, 1996. Mrs. Manis was a member of the Athens Christian Church.
Survivors: a daughter, Bonnie Bridges-Cowden of Springfield; a granddaughter; two sisters, Mary Clemens of Lincoln and Ruth Deckard of Olathe, Kan.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Mott and Henning Funeral Home, Athens, the Rev. Ken Gennicks officiating. Burial: Hall Cemetery, Athens.
