Mr. and Mrs. Joe Allee, 406 West Sixth street, celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary Sunday, February 21, in their home. ...
Mr. and Mrs. Allee were married February 21, 1894, at Mineral Wells, Tex. In 1897, they filed on the Elk City townsite, where they lived until January, 1905, when they moved to a farm north of the city. They returned to Elk City in 1941 and have lived at their present address since that time.

Funeral services for Joe M. Allee will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Revival Center Church with Rev. Albert Trent officiating. Burial will be in Red Hill cemetery under the direction of Savage Funeral Home.
Mr. Allee was born in Arkansas Feb. 11, 1867 and died Wednesday afternoon in a local nursing home.
A resident of Elk City since 1897, Mr. Allee homesteaded the land that is now Elk City.
His family moved from Arkansas to Texas when he was a small boy and in 1885 he married Elizabeth Lucas who preceded him in death. They had two children, one of which died in infancy.
His first wife died in 1890 and in 1894, he was married to Vinne Hewett who also preceded him in death in 1961. [Survivors omitted]
Mr. Allee was preceded in death by 2 infant sons, one infant daughter and one son, Frank, in September of 1964.
